What Does a Full Car Service Include?
If your car is due a full service, you’ll want to know what this includes. We’re covering this in our guide.
The full car service is designed to cover a range of car diagnostic checks and replacement parts. Below is a list of jobs that are normally carried out:
- Oil change
- Oil filter change
- Cabin filter change
- Air filter change
- Fuel filter change (Diesel)
- New spark plugs (Petrol)
- Extensive brake inspection (including brake pads, discs and calipers). All brakes will be stripped and cleaned.
- Air conditioning system inspection
- A thorough check over of the vehicle for wear and tear, including visual damage to your car’s body or wheels
Having a full car service every year is a great way to keep your car on top form, and can increase the likelihood of you passing the essential MOT. It can also help your car retain some of its value and become more sellable in future. A car with a detailed service history, and that has been well taken care of, is a far more attractive second-hand car choice than a car with little to no service history.
It won’t be as detailed as an MOT, but it covers enough to keep your car in good working order until it’s next due a test.
Do technicians change spark plugs on a service?
